Repovive Competitive Companion Browser Extension

Overview

The Repovive Competitive Companion extension is designed to help competitive programmers import problems from online judges and submit solutions. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.

Data We Collect

We do not collect any personal data.

The extension operates entirely within your browser and does not send any information to our servers. All data processing happens locally on your device.

How the Extension Works

Problem Import: When you click the extension icon on a Codeforces problem page, it reads the problem details (name, test cases, limits) from the page and passes them to Repovive via URL parameters. This happens entirely in your browser.
Code Submission: When you click "Submit to Codeforces" in Repovive, the extension opens the Codeforces submission page and fills in your code. The submission goes directly to Codeforces using your existing login session—we never see your code.
Temporary Storage: We use Chrome's local storage to temporarily hold submission data when transferring between tabs. This data is deleted immediately after use.

Permissions Explained

activeTab: Required to read problem details from the current Codeforces page when you click the extension icon.
tabs: Required to open Repovive in a new tab after importing a problem.
storage: Required to temporarily store submission data when transferring between tabs.
Host permissions (codeforces.com): Required to parse problem pages and fill submission forms on Codeforces.
Host permissions (repovive.com): Required to communicate between the extension and the Repovive website.

Third-Party Services

The extension interacts with Codeforces (codeforces.com) to parse problems and submit solutions. When you submit code, it goes directly to Codeforces using your browser and your Codeforces account. We have no access to your Codeforces credentials or submission history.

Data Security

Since we don't collect or store any personal data, there is no data to secure on our end. All extension functionality runs locally in your browser.
