Good questions show you're evaluating them too, not just hoping to be picked.
Strong questions:
- "What does success look like in this role after months?"
- "What's the biggest challenge the team is facing right now?"
- "How do you support engineers who are earlier in their careers?"
- "What's your favorite part of working here?"
- "Can you tell me about the team I'd be working with?"
Avoid:
- Questions answered on the website
- Salary and benefits (save for HR/offer stage)
- "Do you have any concerns about my candidacy?" (makes them uncomfortable)
