Interview anxiety is physical. You can interrupt your body's stress response.
Before the interview:
- Sleep well the night before (no late-night cramming)
- Eat something. Low blood sugar increases anxiety.
- Arrive minutes early. Rushing amplifies stress.
During the interview:
- If you freeze, say "Let me think through this." Buying seconds resets your brain.
- Breathe slowly. Fast breathing signals panic to your body.
- Remember: they want you to succeed. Your interviewer isn't trying to trick you.
After a bad interview:
- Write down what went wrong
- Identify one thing to improve
- Move on. Dwelling doesn't help.
