Prepare stories about data quality:
"Tell me about a time you caught a data quality issue."
Structure: What was the issue? How did you detect it? What was the impact? How did you fix it? What did you put in place to prevent recurrence?
Example elements:
- Noticed dashboard numbers looked wrong
- Traced to upstream schema change
- Impacted revenue reporting for days
- Added schema validation tests
- Established data contracts with source team
Show ownership. You didn't just fix it. You prevented future occurrences.
