Verbal agreements mean nothing. Don't give notice at your current job until you have a signed offer letter. The letter should include: start date, title, base salary, bonus structure, equity grants, and any other negotiated terms. If something discussed isn't in writing, ask for it to be added. Protect yourself from offers being rescinded or terms changing.
