DHCP and DNS often work together. When DHCP assigns an IP, it can also register that device in DNS.
Dynamic DNS (DDNS) allows DHCP servers to update DNS records automatically. When your laptop gets IP , the DHCP server tells the DNS server: "laptop.corp.local is now at ."
This integration means you can access internal devices by name without manual DNS configuration. DHCP handles the IP. DDNS keeps DNS current.
