Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP) dynamically negotiates which ports form a bundle. Switches exchange LACPDU frames to discover compatible neighbors and agree on aggregation. LACP has two modes: active and passive. Active ports initiate negotiation. Passive ports respond but don't initiate. At least one side must be active. If both sides are passive, no bundle forms. LACP also monitors link health and removes failed members automatically. This makes your network more resilient.
