Link aggregation distributes traffic across member links using a hash. The hash can be based on source MAC, destination MAC, source IP, destination IP, or combinations. Src-dst-ip hashing works well when you have many different conversations. Source-mac hashing works if most traffic comes from varied sources. The switch does not split a single flow across links. Each conversation sticks to one link. If one conversation dominates, you may not see perfect distribution. Choose your hashing method based on your traffic patterns.
