To place a device in a VLAN, configure its switch port as an access port and assign the VLAN ID. The device itself needs no configuration. It sends and receives untagged frames as normal. The switch handles all tagging internally. If you move a device to a different port, reconfigure that port for the correct VLAN. Port-to-VLAN assignment is how you control network access.
