Hey guys, This is Shayan.
As someone passionate about both Competitive Programming and AI, I closely look into the progress that models have had recently in CP contests.
Shockingly, o3 has now achieved the rating of 2727 on Codeforces! (Take a look at their own announcement here) As it was evident, AI cannot replace me in CP. (My max rating is 2751) So I'm not scare, if we just stop the development right now.
There's an interesting bet on this website. Will an AI model achieve superhuman ELO on Codeforces by the 31 December 2025? (Higher than any human, higher than tourist) Just two month left, and 55% are saying yes.
On ICPC, both OpenAI and Google Deepmind are announcing that received gold medal. (The link of the tweets are hyperlinked!)
We should not forget to mention that OpenAI claims to win top 6 rank in IOI 2025!
Honestly, I would like to see where it goes, I want to contribute to create a model that can solve problems better than I do. Creating such a thing is interesting to me, and I honestly think it opens many opportunities to humanity, but I understand some people on the other hand might be scared.
