Robin by FutureHouse is a multi-agent system for automating scientific research in biology. It orchestrates multiple specialized agents to propose and pre-clinically validate treatments for human diseases.
Robin identified ripasudil, a drug used for glaucoma, as a candidate treatment for dry age-related macular degeneration. All hypotheses, experiment choices, and data analyses were generated autonomously. Human researchers only executed the physical lab experiments.
Robin operates in a domain where you can't use AutoResearch directly. Wet lab biology has no val_bpb. Your metric is whether a drug candidate passes pre-clinical tests. The loop is the same: hypothesize, test, evaluate. But the evaluation takes weeks instead of minutes.
