Interviewers evaluate four things. First, problem-solving: can you break down the problem and find a working approach? Second, coding ability: is your code clean, correct, and bug-free? Third, communication: do you explain your thinking clearly? Fourth, testing: do you verify your solution works? You don't need a perfect solution to pass. A candidate who solves of the problem while communicating clearly often beats one who solves in silence. Always state your time and space complexity. If you say "this is " without mentioning space, that's incomplete.
