On Linux the daemon runs as a systemd user service. The wizard writes the unit file to ~/.config/systemd/user/openclaw-gateway.service.
Enable and start it:
systemctl --user enable --now openclaw-gateway
Here's a gotcha that catches people: if you want the daemon to keep running after you log out, you need to enable lingering:
sudo loginctl enable-linger $USER
Without lingering, systemd kills all your user services the moment your last session closes. Your assistant goes silent until you SSH back in. Don't let that surprise you.
