How US Big Tech Interviews Work

The Big Tech interview process has $3$ stages:

$1.$ Online Assessment (OA): $2$-$3$ problems, $60$-$90$ minutes, automated scoring. This filters candidates before investing engineer time. Most companies use HackerRank or CodeSignal.

$2.$ Phone Screen: $45$-$60$ minutes, $1$-$2$ problems with a live engineer. You must explain your thought process while coding. Communication matters as much as correctness.

$3.$ Onsite Loop: $4$-$6$ interviews covering coding, system design, and behavioral questions. Each interview has a different focus and interviewer.
