Installation and first steps
Download Cursor from cursor.com. It's a VS Code fork, so your existing extensions and settings transfer over.
On first launch, Cursor asks which AI model to use. Claude Sonnet is the default and works well for most tasks. You can change models later per-conversation.
Sign in to enable Pro features if you have a subscription. The free tier works for learning.
