Using AI for interview take-homes is increasingly accepted. Be transparent:
- Mention that you used AI assistance (honesty matters)
- Be prepared to explain every line of code
- Extend beyond what AI generated to show your skills
- Add tests, error handling, and documentation AI missed
Interviewers often ask follow-up questions. If you can't explain the code, AI usage becomes a liability.
