Here's what happens during a Google interview.
Before: You receive a calendar invite with video link. Test your setup beforehand.
During:
- Interviewer introduces themselves (- min)
- Problem is presented
- You clarify and think aloud
- You code in a shared doc (no autocomplete, can't run code)
- Follow-ups or extensions may be asked
- Questions at the end ( min)
After: Interviewer writes feedback immediately. You hear back after all interviews are done.
What's documented: Problem understanding, approach soundness, code correctness, hint response, collaboration.
