When a cron job runs, you control where the output goes with 3 delivery modes. --announce posts a short summary to a channel so your team sees it. --deliver sends the full output to a specific user or channel. --no-deliver runs the job silently and only logs the result.
You can combine --announce and --deliver to post a summary publicly and send the full details privately. Channel targeting uses the same syntax as direct messages: --deliver #ops-channel or --deliver @username. Try setting up a job with --announce and see it appear in your channel.
