How to address breaks in your work history
Gaps under months rarely need explanation. Longer gaps should be addressed directly. Add a 'Career Break' entry with dates: 'Career Break (–): Completed AWS certification, contributed to open source projects, cared for family member.'
When you explain gaps, you get % more interviews than leaving them unexplained and hoping no one notices.
