Composite Numbers

(More than two factors)

A composite number is a number greater than 1 that has more than two factors. It can be divided by numbers other than 1 and itself.

Examples: 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, 12, 14, 15. All of these can be written as products of smaller integers.

Every integer greater than 1 is either prime or composite. The number 1 is neither.
